Robert Harrison Presents Fine Art Appraiser Lecture at Delaplaine Arts Center

Please join us at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center in Frederick, Maryland on Saturday, April 2, 2016 as the Gallery celebrates its April “First Saturday at the Delaplaine” with exhibits featuring the work of Tinam Valk, Kenneth Eugene Peters, Stan Wenocur and John Kuhn.  In conjunction with the gallery opening, Robert Harrison will present an illustrated gallery talk titled “Five Things You Should Know Before Hiring a Fine Art Appraiser.”  Robert’s lecture will outline the important steps for locating and retaining a qualified art appraiser.   He will also draw on personal anecdotes from his 24 year career in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Region to illustrate the challenges of dealing with the impact of fakes, frauds and reproductions and provide an overview of the 2016 art market.  The free lecture begins at 1 p.m.
