About Us

Harrison Appraisals, LLC offers formal appraisals of eighteenth and nineteenth century antiques and fine art as well as decorative arts and accessories. The firm offers appraisals in many areas including insurance, probate and estate division, damage claims settlement, tax-deductible charitable donation, court-ordered equitable distribution, determination of federal estate and gift tax liability and liquidation.

Established in 1992 with offices in Westminster and Historic Uniontown, Maryland, Harrison Appraisals serves a select clientele of museums, law firms, insurance companies, financial institutions and private collectors.

Robert HarrisonOur principal, C. Robert Harrison, is a USPAP certified and accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers with more than eighteen years of experience appraising antiques and decorative arts. Mr. Harrison holds a Master of Liberal Arts degree in the history of ideas from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in American history from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He studied American decorative arts at the Museum for Early Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and at Winterthur in Wilmington, Delaware.
